Arm-based server startup Bamboo succeeds despite challenging year
Arm-based computing platforms have gained traction as AWS has expanded its Graviton offering. Apple announced to switch from Intel to Arm for all Macs, and Fugaku, the fastest Supercomputer the world, based on Arm. With NVIDIA's recent announcement to acquire the company, the Arm architecture is now poised to disrupt the status quo in computing.
"We are delighted that Seraphim Capital and Opea Holdings continue to invest in Bamboo and are again strongly supporting our unique server architecture," said Tony Craythorne, CEO of Bamboo Systems. "We are also pleased that the UK Future Fund has also invested in us. These investments underscore the value of our technology, which will fundamentally change the concept of computing in the data center. "
"We are excited to continue supporting Bamboo Systems at a time when interest in Arm servers has never been greater. With AWS, Apple and now Nvidia betting on Arm, we believe now is the moment for Arm servers to make a major impact on the $80 billion server market, " said James Bruegger, Managing Partner of Seraphim Capital. "Bamboo's revolutionary server architecture is key to delivering the tremendous space, cost and power savings that the server market desperately needs."
