Atlassian, an enterprise software provider, has released the new licensing package cloud enterprise presented. It is a bundle of the wiki software Confluence, the task management tool Jira and the ITSM tool Jira Service Management.
According to Atlassian, the software's central management interface should make it particularly attractive for companies. All services of the license package are provided via the cloud and are thus supposed to scale particularly easily. Administrators can also set up areas for individual employees and teams directly via the interface, whose Data remain separate from other instances. At launch, up to 20,000 users per instance will be supported. The software package is therefore also suitable for large corporations.
Support with 24/7 service and short response times
Included in the price is 24/7 support from Atlassian, which is supposed to provide a first answer to critical questions within 30 minutes. Furthermore, Atlassian guarantees an uptime of 99.95 percent. This corresponds to a cumulative service downtime of no more than 21 minutes per month.
The data is stored either in the European Union (EU) or the U.S., depending on the customer's requirements. EU customers can choose from an AWS data center in Frankfurt and Dublin. In addition to DSGVO compliance, Atlassian also advertises certifications such as SOC-2 and ISO 27001, which are supposed to prove the high data protection standards.
New admin panel
Thanks to the new admin panel of the Atlassian Cloud Enterprise all tasks such as creating new cloud instances, setting up policies and monitoring, creating and deleting users can be done centrally.
A "playground" also allows users to try out new functions before they are rolled out in the actual production environment. If the high functional scope of the Cloud Enterprise is not sufficient, customers can obtain controlled extensions from third-party providers via a marketplace.
