New Managing Directors for Mainova WebHouse
The newly founded company Mainova WebHouse has a new managing director in Volker Ludwig since January 1. Mainova WebHouse is a subsidiary that is wholly owned by the parent company Mainova.
With a total turnover of over 2 billion euros, Mainova AG represents the largest regional energy supplier in Germany. As an energy supplier, the company is already responsible for ensuring that many Data centers can use a reliable power supply in the popular Rhine-Main region. Now Mainova AG also wants to get into data center operation itself.
The aim of the newly founded subsidiary is therefore to build and operate data centers. These are then to be leased to companies throughout Germany in order to enable them to increase their computing power quickly and easily.
Frankfurt deliberately chosen as company location
Thanks to its favorable location in Frankfurt am Main, Mainova WebHouse hopes to become a successful player in the digitalization market. The Corona pandemic in particular has made many companies in this area painfully aware of their deficits. That is why observers see digitization as a growth industry with high potential.
As important Advantages Mainova CEO Dr. Constantin H. Alsheimer sees the infrastructural conditions such as the reliable power supply and, above all, the world's largest Internet node, which is located in Frankfurt, as key advantages of the Frankfurt am Main location. Alsheimer sees Ludwig as the ideal candidate to turn the good starting conditions of Mainova WebHouse into a successful company development.
Ludwig to lead Mainova WebHouse to success
The 41-year-old Ludwig has a good knowledge of the industry. For example, he has over 20 years of experience in the data center sector. His previous positions include Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing for e-shelter and NTT Global Data Centers, respectively, and as Director Sales and Marketing for Interxion.
Ludwig, a sports-mad father of one son, is a native of Hanau and lives in the Rhine-Main region. The necessary local color in the executive suite of Mainova WebHouse is therefore ensured in any case.
As the new managing director of Mainova WebHouse, Ludwig is to help exploit what Alsheimer describes as the "opportunities of a dynamic growth market in the context of digitalization", thereby enabling Mainova to enter an important market in the field of digital infrastructure.
