.scot domains can only be registered by individuals and legal entities under certain conditions (so-called NEXUS requirements). Registration requires that you can prove a connection to the .scot community both at the time of registration and afterwards. The connection may be linguistic, cultural, tourism, business or otherwise that promotes the well-being of the Scottish community, and by registering you agree to meet this requirement. No proof is required when registering a domain. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to review this on a case by case basis at a later date.
