T-Systems focuses on the cloud

T-Systems, a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, is laying the groundwork for the new Communication in the future, the focus of the business on Cloud. To this end, T-Systems will, among other things Open Telekom Cloud which the company operates in cooperation with Huawei. A three-digit million sum is being invested in the expansion of cloud services.

In the last few months, T-Systems has also expanded its partnerships with Amazon, Google, and Microsoft expanded. Customers can now book cloud products based on Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure and the Google Cloud directly with T-Systems. T-Systems will take over the management and billing of the multi-cloud landscape.

5,000 new cloud specialists

According to the company, 3,000 cloud architects and experts are already working at T-Systems. The service provider wants to train 5,000 more employees to become cloud specialists in the near future.

Cooperation with Huawei

In China and Africa, Huawei operates its own data centers as an independent cloud provider. In other markets, including Germany, the Chinese network equipment provider has partnerships with local telecommunications companies such as Deutsche Telekom. Huawei provides the technology for the Open Telekom Cloud and receives a share of the revenue in return.

But the Huawei collaboration is the heart of the ecosystem because it's our own product.
