Connectria, Saturn Business Systems partner to support hybrid cloud
Saturn Business Systems and Connectria have announced a joint go-to-market partnership. With the partnership, Saturn Business Systems combines its industry-leading integrated information technology solutions with Connectria's award-winning remote management, disaster recovery and hybrid cloud services.
Connectria's hybrid architecture with IBM Power Systems communicating with AWS is designed to enable enterprises to migrate their traditional IT infrastructure to a fully managed, low-latency hybrid architecture between IBM Power Systems environments and AWS. This allows enterprises to continue to maintain mission-critical IBM i & AIX workloads, replace dependent x86 infrastructure with optimized AWS services, and reduce data center footprint.
"We have partnered with AWS to bring our industry-leading IBM i and AIX hosting expertise to the AWS US-East-1 and AWS US-West-1 regions," said Rich Waidmann, president and CEO of Connectria. "By combining our IBM and AWS capabilities, we can deliver the first end-to-end solution of its kind, starting with migrating your existing IBM i / AIX environment to our modern IBM Power Systems environment - with services managed around the clock - and supported by our next-generation cloud management platform, TRiA. You can then build advanced capabilities on AWS using your existing IBM assets as a foundation. "
How does it work?
This solution from Connectria enables direct, low-latency connections between IBM i / AIX systems and AWS. This opens up new opportunities for IBM workloads to leverage advanced data analytics, HA deployments across multiple regions, and other forms of extension with AWS Cloud Services.
IBM Power Systems is one of the last remaining platforms tying businesses to enterprise data centers, where operational and financial costs are impacting IT agility and growth potential. With Connectria's new hybrid architecture, you can move out of the data center, keep mission-critical IBM workloads running, and get closer to your digital transformation goals.
"For nearly 40 years, Saturn Business Systems has been building its Shop on the solution focus for our customers. While this focus has evolved into our current hyper-converged infrastructure and hybrid cloud solutions, our partnership with Connectria allows us to extend our service over the Internet lifecycle of this infrastructure. Connectria strengthens our ability to do more with less for our infrastructure customers, with world-class services and support. We are pleased to add Connectria to our list of partners," said George Pappas, Saturn Business Systems vice president of revenue.
Saturn Business Systems has a history of forging strong alliances with like-minded technology partners that thrive on innovation. Connectria's world-class managed services for Intel-based technologies and IBM Power Systems are integrated with Saturn's customized cloud, data center and IT solutions.
